Scan effectiveness and Exploratory vs Adaptable Space L?

Recommended Posts

I can't figure out why my scan effectiveness is 52%.  15 spaces between each scanner, 31 exposed sky tiles, no regolith. I even turned off the door pulsing signal.

Different question:  I take it the "exploratory space station" setting on the space scanner is for rocket detection.  Is the third setting for either?MeteorScreen.thumb.jpg.b51577c0029a1107dd03c42c68e02831.jpg

just out of curiosity.  whats the reason for the weirdly spaced out stacked solar panels.  why not just make them one long floor.  since the coverage of the light is blocking the panels below it. right?

I remember reading somewhere that solar panels don't need full exposure to sunlight. So you can put a few more solar panels working at 100% if you put them like Sigma Cypher did.

I didn`t do the math on this but i can confirm that solar panels reach 100% power before mid day and stay that way for a while. this means they "waste" the extra sunlight they can`t absorb. You can have more running at 100% in peak sunlight when they overlap but they produce less a piece outside that short period. I guess it`s still better to have more panels than less.
