cpy
Anyone knows how this ultra counter intuitive building have to be built to count fish correctly in pool?
Craigjw
Rather annoyingly, you have to make sure that the fish counter is enclosed in a room. It would be nice if it detected the body of water rather than the room condition. If the room display overview or tooltip doesn't show the body of water as a room, the counter doesn't work. I'm not sure if room size counts, as I only tested it on a pool 35 tiles in area.
cpy
It is in room. I made sure it was, but still, it's borked.

phod
Not sure how to help, but for the record, my fish drop off is well above the water, maybe 3 tiles, works fine. The only reason for the wall and door was to keep dupes from filling the feeder, I prefer to do that using the clock timer and conveyor system. The feeder worked fine without the mechanized airlock and surrounding wall. Edit: Sorry, I misunderstood your problem. After testing, I see mine doesn't count the fish either, my mistake. Miravlix
It's not yet been a feature that the fish release counted fish. No idea if it's ever going to be implemented, I can't quite find a use for having it count them. It's not like it can auto-wrangle fish.
cpy
Well I did, I have 1 fish in pool that eats very little amount of algae and eggs are being hatched into another, if that fish dies, then it gets replaced by next egg that is in incubator.
