jfc
I have got a self sustain mushroom farm and I have 2 cool steam vents + 1 water geyser. I'd like to know what kind of setup with an aquatuner do i need to keep the bristles farm going on forever without bothering with it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/100867-from-mushrooms-to-bristle-blossoms-self-sustained-farm/ Share on other sites
Xuhybrid
You can use polluted water as coolant or a steam turbine. You'll need some automation to keep the loop going until the water is the right temperature. Cypher-7
Both @Lifegrow and @Neotuck have posted builds that will work for this. Spoiler On 2018-12-16 at 6:03 AM, Lifegrow said: So you're trying to cycle hot water until it's cool enough for plants etc? Threw this together for you bud Reveal hidden contents Left sensor ABOVE 14 degrees C, Right pipe thermo sensor Below 13 Tweak as you need Spoiler On 2018-11-03 at 8:23 AM, Neotuck said: I don't know the thread you are looking for but here's the solution I use Hot liquids are piped in from the left, cold liquids leave to the right set the aqua thermal sensor to the temp you want and it will turn on the shut off allowing cold packets to leave, warm ones continue to the aqua tuner The reason for the reservoir is to prevent backups in the pipe which would allow warm packets though --------------------------- EDIT------------------------- I made a mistake, don't connect a pipe between the input and output of the aquatuner! I'd like to know what kind of setup with an aquatuner do i need to keep the bristles farm going on forever without bothering with it I'm not great with designs and automation but I came up with this to run my water in a loop till it hit below 27 deg C which then was allowed to pass through the pipes to enter my main water tank in the colony. I've been feeding 27 deg c and below water to my bristles for the longest time now, i never had to worry about temperature in my farm room. Setup: Water enters the aquatuner, passes through liquid pipe thermo sensor (Set at 27 degrees below), obviously its too hot so liquid shutoff doesnt allow the water to pass, sends it back to liquid bridge to loop into the aquatuner again. Backed up water goes up into the vent. This isn't a super awesome efficient setup, you could try it out to see if it works for you. Automation: Automation wired connected to thermosensor & Liquid Shutoff. Personally, I prefer turning my polluted water into water sieve, comes out at 40 deg, which then gets sent to aquatuner - water comes out at a nice 26 deg. fishoutofwater
piping water directly through aquatuner maybe is the faster way to get cold water but because aquatuner cool exactly 14C, it is hard if you want to get to certain temperature, that is why I guessing it might not efficient but I'm guessing there should be way around, I'm still figuring out, in the meantime here something I built for my gameplay,if you care to take a look. 1. I'm using oil for coolant to cool my water to certain degree in this case below 25 2. I'm using pw from pw vent to cool the aquatuner, then sent to sieve if it's above 119.1C 3.my water source is from sieve, 2 cool steam vent, 1 water geyser here some picture a automation: 1. thermo sensor - not gate - buffer - aquatuner 2. thermo sensor + hydro sensor - and gate - mechanized airlock because I'm using sieved water from washroom I made this loop to kill germ, only viable if the liquid reservoir covered by chlorine gas Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/100867-from-mushrooms-to-bristle-blossoms-self-sustained-farm/#findComment-1134775 Share on other sites

Use a recycling aquatuner generally like the one here, and play around with the recycle temperature until you get near where you want to be. Just be careful not to go too near freezing or you'll break your pipes.
