23rd Posted October 14, 2013 Share Posted October 14, 2013 With so many effective fuels out there I haven't used boards since before I had fully leveled. So what do you use? Once I've gone crazy with my Golden Shovel and stripped a Savannah of its grass tufts for grass farming I use what's left over as fuel. It tends to last a ridiculously long time, and once I've got everything fertilized a bare Savannah in a remote corner of the map never hurts me. Nothing is a bigger eyesore than what remains after a forest fire, especially if it happened right next to your main base. I think 50% of my flint usage goes into making Axes to chop those burnt trees down. I had a small section left then more lightning struck and burned down the forest on the other side of the path. At that point I threw my arms up and figured if I manage to go through all that, maybe then I'll come back.
