Wigfrid feels useless

Recommended Posts

I really don't understand the whole idea of this thread. Like, yes in Hamlet some sources of meat are harder to find than in the original Don't Starve... but so what ? It makes for a character that was previously completely overpowered (considered top 3 even though she cant use some late game strategies) to almost bottom tier... Isn't that awesome design ?

I get it, people want their "character" back. In that, they want to feel the same experience that don't starve gave but Hamlet is aimed to be different. Also, even if she can't eat so many new stuff, you can still easily survive of meatballs and tam o shanter. In my games, playing as wes i usually have the Tam O Shanter by day 13-14 and I do a lot of other stuff so if you rushed for it it could be acquired earlier. Also you could easily survive first year purely on gas mask and just fighting shadow creatures and use that perks of hers.

I think it shows how amazing the character design is when one character become known to be the "easy character" and then become one of the hardest to play in this new setting.

I have nothing of merit to add regarding the Wigfrid-Hamlet situation. I think I'll just set her aside as a fun challenge to tackle once the rest of the game stops killing me...

WAIT a sec

This seemed like a fun distraction though, so I went ahead and threw in coffee and a supercharged WX just to see. It's not unmanageable, surprisingly.

If you're lucky, you can make it around the perimeter of the entire poisoned jungle without dying. XD

I bet Wolfy could pull it off on a full stomach.
