It'll give the dupes an extra place to go at down time and of course give a moral bonus. goboking Posted October 26, 2018 Share Posted October 26, 2018 I love the idea, especially if it has a Mystery Science Theater 3000 vibe. They could make the screen something we hang on the backwall with each seat facing that direction, then have a projector that hangs from the ceiling so we don't eat into seating space. The movies themselves could be found inside some of the Gravitas lockers scattered throughout the asteroid. Just include some lore that points to one of the Gravitas employees being a movie nut or someone in HR trying to organize an employee movie night to boost morale. For popcorn we could pop seeds (perhaps gas grass could produce seeds that fill this function?) and instead of a soda machine we could combine ice and bristle berries in a new machine to make ICEEs (or ONI's equivalent). And then, each different film could have a loooong time to give another bonus, because dupes already see it. So, if we find lots of different films, dupes could then go to the cinema more often, and keep this moral bonus. Although, who make the film ? They could spend so many cycles running around filming everything, then so many cycles editing it in a film workshop, before they produce a film for everyone to watch. On a different note, I think it would be really cool if the movies that were shown were the animated shorts that Klei puts together.
