Bubble Hell - Cycle 500

Welcome, shareholders, to Gravitas Facility 99-AE, affectionately known by the local organic inhabitants as "Bubble Hell". Allow me to take a moment to assure you the name is meant ironically. The 35 duplicants inhabiting this colony are perfectly comfortable, despite being printed as quickly as possible with a fatalistic outlook and miserable immune systems.

"I am extremely uncomfortable and this place is literally hell."

Shut up, Meep.

We are currently focusing the observational equipment on Facility 99-A, the residential sphere, or as it is somewhat more melodramatically known, "The First Circle of Hell". (note to self: suppress 'creative' trait in future duplicants to reduce incidences of nicknaming)

Originally a self-sustaining facility, the first circle has since been renovated into a strictly residential zone, with all the amenities needed to sustain organic life. There is still a small amount of mushroom farming work that has not yet been transferred to the Agricultural Bubble occurring in the lower zones.

Seniority is decided by virtue of age, skill and not-being-Meep. As a result, the lead researcher and de-facto leader of Bubble Hell is, fittingly enough, Bubbles. She is supported by Head of Engineering Mae and Lead Architect Nisbet.

The second bubble, located in the north-west, is Facility 99-B, the Agricultural Bubble. This sphere is dedicated to farming several crops and supporting their associated production chains. In addition to raw food it also produces dirt, slime and clean water.

In the northeast, the Ranching Bubble (99-C) handles the ranching of non-sentient organics: specifically Stone Hatches, Glossy Drecko's, Squeaky Pufts and Tropical Pacu. The former three creatures are all bred and butchered for meat in the nursery located in the center of the sphere.

In the Power Bubble (99-D) To the south-east, power is generated and a population of slicksters are maintained for the purposes of consuming waste Co2. The shell of a would-be oil boiler stands vacant in the center of several slush-cooled banks of power generators.

Finally, in the southeast, the Industrial Bubble (99-E) handles the production of plastic, metal and glass. This facility has not yet been properly utilized.

Love it..... Reminds me of my old Yin yang base from during the thermal upgrade9FA79BFF56A395504A2973AD05C6D67EB259F8A8

id send the save file on request no critters left no good geysers mostly dupe powered actually. power system is very out of date though as are most of the systems but ran in expressive just didnt survive long without repairs

74082B12572E8987BAB94F5D1994CC994EF2E8C5

was planning a cityscape for the top half but after thermal was done started a new base

Remember the days when bristle farming was still possible and the outbrake upgrade didn't wreck the entire farming system. The days when i could have a small colony with a small bristle blossom farm without a sink and no water wasted, just a few planter boxes

Can we see the little bubbles that seems to be the vents and geysers please ? That's so nice to look at ! :D

Sure thing.

Scary Steam Geyser.

Has incapacitated dozens of dupes in various taming attempts, and I still can't keep all the hydrogen in the right place when I'm working on it.

Not so scary steam geyser

This one's behind the exosuit docks, so it hasn't incapacitated anyone. Yet. I still haven't set up the hydrogen for the worts, though.

Chlorine Geyser 1, and my water cooling AETN.

The latter has an unfortunate habit of freezing solid whenever I slow down my water consumption rate. Really should get around to automating that.

Chlorine geyser 2

Feeds pufts.

Good Nat Gas Geyser

Whose a good boy? You are, yes you are.

Bad Nat Gas Geyser

Whose a horrendous piece of crap? You are, yes you are.

Future SPOM Site.

Not built yet, obviously.

THE ULTIMATE SLUSH GEYSER OF ULTIMATE DESTINY

This thing basically keeps my entire colony alive. I would be incredibly screwed without it. I can keep a colony alive without a slush geyser, but not when I'm forcing myself to get to 35 dupes as quickly as possible.

Really great work, you could save material by making vaccumm instead of insulated tile for your main bubble

Yeah, but then I wouldn't get that glorious purple colour. Besides, it's just igneous rock. I've got plenty of that for now.
