Therapy Couch - long-term use for scientists

Scientists could be able to operate a "therapist's couch", as a way to temporarily reduce the impact of a duplicant's negative traits. Probably via electroshock therapy. This could depend on their initial ability to perform research, and give scientists something to do and train with after all the research has been done.

 

If temporarily reducing a negative trait is too much, perhaps it could temporarily provide a positive trait or lower a dude's decor requirements.

Therapy is an idea I've been kicking around for a while now.  I'm hoping therapy is a branch on an eventual medical job tree. 

In my vision Kindness is used to keep other dupes healthy, with Nurses being the tier 1 job, then Doctors and Surgeons handling physical health and Counselors and Therapists handling mental health.  A therapy couch would be a specialist building for the mental health side of things and would give stress reduction and temporarily suppress negative psychological traits of dupes treated by a Therapist.

While we’re at it, add a new Job tree that starts at Nurse with increased kindness, Doctor with more kindness, into Negotiator that improves the effect of Appreciation, and then with Scientist and Negotiator you can create the Therapist.
