How disable expressive update?

I think you can disable the morale for games started before the last update (there will be a popup when you load the game). For new games you need to live with it. Hope that helps.

Yes, there is a pop-up. It was added a few hotfixes ago.

1. load game
2. read dialog about morale
3. select "no i dont want to play with morale"
4. enjoy

When creating a new game, go to 'custom' and set Morale to none.

Morale can lead to high stress very fast. But once you have figured it out, it is actually pretty easy to handle.

You should try morale, as said above. When you feel ready and want to feel the pain while building your base muahaha!

It's so good that it makes the stress a trivial thing. I didn't have a dupe go over 10% stress since the update came out Rush a great hall, some decor and instead of leveling dupes to the highest jobs cycle them through the low level jobs until you get higher morale with food and higher tier tech
