If you give him logs he'll give you axe... -We buy the key needed to escape from Goatmom... what? You're telling me that she had the key all along and was like: "Sorry dude, couldn't help more". Tumalu Posted June 16, 2018 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Goatmom's money can be used to shop for seeds and such from the merms, too. The pigs can't build a house out of axes (although yeah, they don't -look- like they're too busy to use them...) and the key to escape has to be "charged" with favors. So, sure, the key is there, but it's powerless until you get the three favors. She'd love to escape herself, after all. But yeah for some stuff like goat's milk you just have to give in to game logic. pedregales Posted June 16, 2018 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Well, I don't think is comfortable to get the milk out, specially when she has to do it in front of you as there is barely anywhere to hide and you need it fast... Also, she does say that our presence distracts the Gnaw from her and Billy, and possibly the Elder Pig too (but she doesn't seem to care about him); meaning that while you are there she really is in no rush to leave that place. If the gorge were like real life Mumsy wouldn't give a **** about us due to the fact that his world and her son are on constant danger. Getting the 3 favors powers it. That's why you have to "buy" it, because you give her the tokens and she powers it up, allowing it to open the gate. It makes sense for the game logic. No one is upset? Also thats not really an excuse, just because its a game doesn't mean you can't make it logical. A better start would be goatmom offering a plate to gnaw at the beginning, causing the starting coins to fall (it'll also show newer/clueless players on how to get more money, which is just a small bonus). Given that Mumsy needs you to help get the favors to power the key, I don't see why she wouldn't "help" us. I also don't think she would be the type to push us away from the gate just so her and her son can escape selfishly, why not let the people that help you escape as well?
