Argelle
Thanks @Neotuck for your helpfull guide, it's far more easier that way. I cannot get ride of a tiny (mcg) bubble of CO2, but the rest of the set up was quick to put in place. I cannot find again a topic on tempshift plate, but for what I remember they have a area of effect one tile in every direction. So, to save some wolfamite (stocks low for now) I did not place them in direct contact. Is it still effective ? Other question, are tempshift plates really necessary in the hydrogen cooling chamber? Don't they work best for solid/liquid? Spoiler (the experience to test this is planned, but the volcano is dormant for another 16 cycles, and I bet I need quite a long recording of temperatures without and then with tempshift plates to get a significant result). Have you tried to build a tile in the bubble to delete the gas? RonEmpire
What's the trick to get your dupes to do the auto bottling. I have it enabled but cant figure out what priorities to mess with to force them to actually deliver water. It's like the stupid repair errands that never gets around to being completed because they all find something else more important to do then fill up a bottle. Argelle
Strange @RonEmpire, without fidlling with dupe priority, a simple bottle emptier, with priority 7 and "auto bottling" ON will do the trick for me, each time. That being said, my 12 dupes base is not a working camp but more an holiday resort, so any request above 5 is taken into account within less than half a cycle. So may be you have a 1000 cycles old base, and 50 dupes ? I have like 5 guys and I noticed the issue from like cycle 50. i'm at 600 now and they're not even touching the auto botting completely. it's like a repair bug. they won't repair. A brief save and reload because I did not think that I should not for heavens sake not dig that slime around the volcano or it was going to ruin the beautiful vacuum. But I'm having a problem. The copper does not drip into the water. The ONE piece that is there is because I caught a dupe picking up a piece of 600c+ copper and was going to carry it out, I made her drop it and it ended up in the water. The rest of it just sits on the neutronium, when it erupts, it all turns liquid for a tiny bit then sits there again. So, what's the trick to getting it in the water?? what you did with the 'punch outs' is incredible. The pockets are vacuum? Do you have a thermal image of this? Masterful, kudos! that's incredibly thoughtful. man what a good idea, thank you for posting that. And yes there are thermals. I just don't think i noticed the serrations before. Not the same way. It's inventive. I love it. sorry I necro'd an old thread. I was not the originator of this however, I can't find the original thread, but someone showed how to do these kind of pockets and also how to make a vacuum wall. I do this at the start of every base, really helps keep the heat out! and in this case with the volcano basically in my base it was a necessity!
