Death by meteors?

Recommended Posts

i have a concern that meteors will become a problem later in game, at the moment after 230 cycles my surface looks like this:

as you can see the majority of the surface of my asteroid is trashed already, if feel its not really supposed to be that way, i mean the surface is made of meteor fragments, so why isn't it staying fairly stable?

also, the only way to really defend against meteors is bunker tiles, but those need steel and steel i feel is rather hard to produce in any amount, the amount of lime is just too low. after 240 cycles and 3 ranches of 8 pets each, i only have made 800kg of steel, i know some eggshells have gone to compost (that NEED to change) >< but even so.

also, for some reason i lost the neutronium on both sides on my map....

I think it was a push towards pacus being more useful. Pacu eggs are 2kg each and pacus "cycle" through their life almost 4 times faster than hatches.

Pacus are a good way to go now, that's sure, givin higger omelete ratio and much more often egg shell, but... BUT, they still consuming so much algae !

Agreed, until there's an effective way to farm algae I don't put too much effort into pacus
