Nino123 Posted May 20, 2018 Share Posted May 20, 2018 Hi Today, when i started a new hosted game, the colors of the new world were very dark. It's very hard to see something during evening and during night, even with a torch, you can't see nothing. Colors looks saturated. When i look the map, i can't see the color that indicate the water beyond the fringe of the world (a kind of grey instead of the black of undiscovered map). No, my sanity wasn't low (even if the colors look like when characters have a low sanity). Other games are ok. I didn't change anything in the options or configuration of Steam or DST. The luminosity of my computer is ok. I tries to play on other servers, and it was the same. Some captures i made. Any ideas ? It's very hard to play like this... Also is this happening when you log-in other servers (pubs, friends' servers) or just in your new world? Have you visited prior to this situation some weirdly modded worlds (like the Chinese heavily-modified ones)? Nino123 Posted May 21, 2018 Author Share Posted May 21, 2018 yeah, on the capture it doesn't look so strange (maybe because of the light the portal make) but i'm sure it's not like usual because i can't see informations on the map (like the decorative lines in the background or the grey color that indicate the fringe of world). And in evening, i can't see black things (like spiders, except their eyes). Happened in different servers. So i guess it came from my computer or from Steam (or the 2). Never visited a modded server. And i don't see anything new, any changement able to do that. Tried to rset world, make a new one... I'll try with the account of my girlfriend to see what happen... Try updating your video card drivers, also check if they have some special settings for dst, some video cards change their sertings according to whats recommended for certain games. Youcan also try fiddling with the in game settings, trying windowed mode, among other things. But i'm actually on an other computer and i see more clearly the pix i posted (and i understand, now, the post of csc-unit). So, colors are dark on DST, and the captures on my desktop and this forum are dark too... in don't understand. By some mysterious way, an mysterious option that change the color contrast of the computer. I don't know how it happen (maybe my cat, she always sleep on my keyboard and type some shortcuts during nights). Thanks for the ones that helped me.
