Here's some oddball ideas for reed fiber, a material which has only 2 uses currently*. I doubt they'll ever get implemented, but still...

*(nothing wrong with only having two uses. Coal and balm lily are worse with only a singular use... just that IMO both are much, much more sought after than reed "I've dressed up all my dupes. What am I going to do with the rest of these!" fiber...)*

- Torches. Non-electric light that uses fiber at a constant rate, and also uses up oxygen into carbon dioxide... this is not exactly a good suggestion, as fiber tends to be hard to find early-game...

- Curtains. "Useless Doors" which do nothing but block line of sight and provide a very minor decor bonus. Perfect for hiding ugly decor from view. Uses up a lot of fiber for every two-tile piece thou, and require an Artist to install.

- Wallpaper. Think tempshift plates, except for decor. Not sure if this is a good idea, given that paintings exist and are easier to make

- Bagpacks. Replaces the current dupe's "Clothes" (so no hot, cold or snazzy clothing), but increases carry capacity. Not sure if this is a good idea, given how it still have the "I've dressed up all my dupes" problem that all the other fiber clothing have.

- Hand wipe towels Station. Weaker than the wash basin (just as wash basins are weaker than sinks, and sinks weaker than those bleach stone stations), the advantage is that it requires a bare minimum of upkeep and requires next to no time for a dupe to use; just stock fiber, and it gets converted into polluted dirt. Also requires regular (if quick) disinfection; this station should get really dirty, really fast compared to the other sanitary options.

- Trampolines. Think "4~6 tile high bouncing ladders" that occupies only 1x2 (1x3?) squares and require some clear space above it (paintings do not count). 'nuff said. Uses a LOT of fiber and some refined metals too.

- Gas/water bags. Think "pipes with lots of space"; if the upstream of a bag is blocked, it'll simply start eating up all the incoming water/gas up into itself up to it's carry capacity (20kg per tile for water, 5 kg per tile for air on a 2x2 bag?). It's major disadvantage is its narrow temperature band (not exactly useful for very hot areas), and how it pops when ruptured: think instant flood...

- Royal beds. Fluffy fiber on top of a sturdy stone base flanked by refined metal stands. The ultimate in decor and comfort, it even comes with a 50W powerplug for built-in lights and a fan...

I'd expect most of these can be set as tasks in the Textile loom (and then installed in place, for stuff like Curtains and Wallpaper).

There should be some Luxury Variants for some living-furniture that require Plastic and Reed fibre, but they all got some sort of weakness to make up for it.

Luxury Table, requires Plastic and Reed Fibre, takes up 3 tiles worth of space, while eaten from it will take longer, the food will be +1 quality flat. Also the space it takes may make it undesirable in some cases.

Luxury Massage Table, depletes stress faster, duhh, but it will give a 'Luxury tolerance' when used more than once per day which reduces its effect, it drains 620W

Another possibility would be to make stylish hats.  They don't give any job benefits but they do boost the wearer's natural decor rating.

The curtains wouldn't be a bad idea especially for covering up things like heavi-watt wires, but I'd make it more a wall object like a painting.

I'd like dupes to need more clothing from start and clothing to deteriorate with time. When they get wet to change clothes or suffer stress.

This way you would need a little reed fibre farm and keep making new clothes or mend

Yeah, this would be cool, could add it to the requirements for jobs. Better outfits for higher jobs. I don't bother will reed farms because there are little uses for them right now. and you get more than enough by the time you need them from the wild.
