NotenKi
I'm trying very hard to fix a problem I have and toilets. I can not find the category that covers them, and setting them to 9 does little to nothing. My game is going very well for once and this suddnely popped up, they just quit cleaning them, and even though one is open and useable 2 of the dups pee'd their pants in the middle of sleeping, none of them attempted to use the toilet before going to bed.. I do have a working toilet still.. but but that form under the J key seem to be a placibioa for me, and does little in the game. Miravlix
2 hours ago, neoazureus said: J (priorities windows) > tidy To the best of my understanding that may or may not be true. The priority system is a combination of the job priority and sub priority. If the job priority is equal, it depends on the sub priority what is chosen, so while you can set tidy to the same level as the highest job priority for that dupe, you might not get the result of it becoming the next job performed. The jobs advanced setting and the priority advanced setting is another thing that can change how the priority system works. Set tidy to be the *only* very high job priority and make the toilet the highest sub priority and turn advanced setting of in jobs and on in sub priorities and I think that will guarantee that the toilet will be focused. Soulwind
Yep, sounds like you have prioritized all of your dupes and kept them busy enough at their jobs so that nobody is doing the Tidy job. Either set the Tidy job higher for some of your dupes so that it's equal to or greater than their primary priority or make a Groundskeeper and set him to job priority on Tidy. As far as I know, the secret priorities are in the same order as the priority table, from left to right Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90429-i-need-to-find-out-how-the-form-under-the-j-key-works/#findComment-1032160 Share on other sites

NotenKi
Well shucks no real answer.. Um wait there are answers hmmm, I will check them out too. I understand which is which, the problem is the game ignores them I will give an example I have a farmer, her supply is turned off she can't use it, and that is the feature the game says controls Harvesting.. but she is doing all the harvesting just fine! Harvesting is the act of picking the crop, it is not the act of delivery.. When I drove truck I held a lot of jobs and one of them was taking the corps of farmers into the packing house. while the farmer Harvested his crops we drove along side of his havester and actually loaded the trucks.. So the sheet is in error my farmer is harvesting her corps just fine with that big X in supply.. everything in the game seems to work like that . You can no longer set priorites with numbers you just get a few arrows of bump up or down, unless a dup has a job in that priority then you get an extra bump up.. I'm speaking of the priorities in the J key.. I don't care about the numbers to much.. But! My issues is more then just that list, because dups wet their bed, when they had a working toilet and it was reachable. Soulwind
You are somewhat correct, and somewhat not. The reason the farmer is working like that is that Harvesting is both a Supply and a Farm activity. Many of the activities are like that, bringing materials to the job site by the builder for example is both Supply and Build. The easy way to think of it is that the Dupe will do what's needed for his job if he's doing his job. There are 2 basic sets of priorities and 1 hidden set. Job level priority (the J key), building level priority (the numbers), and the hidden base-support level priority. Job level > building level (with the hidden one mucking about in there to do sub-priorities). A dupe will do every task available in his highest Job level priority first ordered internally by the building level (with caveats due to the hidden level), then will start in on the next highest Job level priority, etc. Turning off the hidden level is accomplished by using the Advanced Mode (little gear icon under the J key). When in Advanced mode, the hidden priority shuffling is disabled and the dupe will also prefer to work on all jobs (within the Job priority that he's doing) within reach rather than running back and forth between job sites. As to not using the toilet, that sounds like either a problem you didn't notice (i.e. path was somehow blocked by debris or door permissions, toilet was dirty or missing clean dirt, a sand block was covering part of the toilet or missing floor, or something along those lines). Toilets (and a few other things like the massage tables) do not have a priority associated with using them, the dupes just use them when needed. The priority numbers on the toilet just adjust cleaning/supplying, not use.
