Dupes shower to often,I had my mining dupes crossing liquid on the floor, mining a single block then heading back to shower and repeating the cycle. Make dupes prioritize jobs in the area they are going so they don't walk back and forth between base to complete small jobs like picking up meal lice when they should be constructing. Breakfast and dinner, way to many times dupes will go to eat or shower while in the middle of a job, My dupes usually spend a good amount of time walking around compared to working. I use priorities like this too. 1 Not worth, 2 Only if nothing left to do, 3 super long term, 4 long term, 5 nothing better to do, 6 daily, 7 important, 8 urgent, 9 critical. Reduce the amount of mouse clicks it takes to play, I started using AutoHotkeys to simulate mouse clicks because I was clicking way to often. (basically)Just fix a couple priority changing things when something else is selected, maybe add hotkeys for menus, or a legend?. - Pipe out electrolyzer, instead of ineffectively pumping the room - New pumps that don't require you to build a machine 300 blocks away and supply it with power, instead using vacuum vents and only need to build the pump in line. (which btw I think to much vacuum collapses pipes) - Hungry people eat first, and over prioritize the food - Elevator??? lol Oh and allow exosuit checkpoints to be placed anywhere so you can have an exosuit storage room and let them deliver the suits to the dock after they finish, Exosuit docks are a little to rich for my blood to keep filled with oxygen. Showers don't give any positive effects to dupes yet. Better not use it for now. Tick Advanced priorities, this will allow them to select jobs closer to them. Brilliant for bigger bases. Also, your exo suit suggestion is a bit odd, then your dupes have to walk all the way to put it away? I agree with the food, the amount of times I have dupes get almost to their worksite and boom, food break... With many exosuit checkpoints, it might be more advantageous to build only one dozen exosuit docks at one place instead of building a dozen docks at each checkpoint. So don't bother with them at all unless you want to be creating PH2O which you may want in some cases. They do remove germs, but that usefulness is negligible when a sink is required for a bathroom anyways. Ailithic Posted May 3, 2018 Author Share Posted May 3, 2018 I think the soggy feet and sopping wet debuff decreases mood.. maybe just add a clock timer to a checkpoint?. I only suggested elevators for in base transit, the plastic ladders are fun but still to slow(slow enough to take 1-10nth of the day to get back to bed from a carbon basin), I think showers are good for making dupes remove germs/debuffs without micromanagement?. I don't know how well it works but I'v seen youtubers using an Exosuit pass through so that dupes can create a path past the docks and go into areas they couldn't before. Also I do use advanced priorities, but the AI loves to flip flop between jobs or getting food etc, Ill assign a couple of tasks to dupes based on where I need them, like mining/construction, food/farm/ranch, research/operate and make sure to decrease priority when I need them to focus.
