ArunPrasath
Currently, My Sleet wheat farms are having enough trouble as it is. The Heavy Watt Conducting Plate does not have any mineral based tile (or rather, no insulator based tile). Its bringing in heat to the base. I have a transit tube based setup so they require heavi watt wires to power the transit tube access. As usual, there are substitute methods to solve this (although none are satisfactory). An abyssalite based tile for all those metal only tiles out there can help this a long way. crypticorb
Insulated doors would be an awesome addition to this idea, as there's no easy way to insulate AND have access to an area, such as sleet wheat farms or volcanos. The 3-door vacuum exploit setup works, but is awkward. Byce
unrelated to Cunducting plate, but wouldn't it be possible to do "water-airlock" - vacuum - "water airlock". Ambaire
2x transformers outside the cool area, conductive wire (2kw max) to the transit thing. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/90323-need-new-tiles/#findComment-1031129 Share on other sites

That would function as an extremely low-tech solution, but would be difficult to set up, and the water has a chance to freeze. A better solution would be the 3-door vacuum lock system, which closes and opens a door to destroy the air and create a vacuum barrier. Acru
I just put a vacuum between two heavy watt plates. You can build a pump in there and just leave it forever trapped. (Note: you can't connect a heavy watt plate directly to another, you need at least 2 wire segments between.) Heat will only move between tile and tile, tile and air, air and air, or air and building, so won't travel along the wire in a vacuum. (A bit annoying though when a building is a heat source, it will always overheat in a vacuum.)
