blash365
If i read the documentation correctly then the current hatch diet is something like this: 160kg/cycle sandstone, .... (other minerals/metals of same ratio), 0,2 kg/cycle mushrooms, ... (other food of similar ratio). This seems to me a clear indication that feeding food to hatches is the way to go. However the documentation also reads: produces 50% of consumed mass as coal (might be different for mutations) Does this mean that my hatches wont produce any significant coal from food? Meaning food is only helpful to keep them happy, but not productive. Or should it be 50% of consumed calories (where calories for non-food equal kg)? Neotuck
I haven't tried MK2 yet but in MK1 feeding dupe food to hatches redused their coal rate by a lot. So only feed dupe food if your hatches are for eggs only Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89974-critter-diet/#findComment-1027667 Share on other sites

There are numbers either in the info box or the dupe-pedia. I did not verify the numbers. True, but they don't reproduce as much as they used to... Spoiler They used to reproduce like mad, literally one egg after another after another.
