hatch eggs come out as rot pile from incubator

Hi guys, i'm a returning player, still figuring out latest updates. When I try to grow my hatch colony after the incubation is done, my egg turns into rot pile instead of creating new hatch - what I'm doing wrong?

hatch in CO2 or Chlorine environment only, your egg going stale in the incubator

You can hatch in an o2 environment, but your egg has to be fresh when you start and you need to keep the air clean.  The hatching duration is long enough that if there is pollution present, your egg might decay before it hatches.

Or keep the temperature of the room where the incubator is at refrigeration level. Its possible to hatch puft eggs in a polluted oxygen environment this way.

Given the "glass dome" of the artwork most of us assume the incubator has an atmosphere controlled environment for the egg to incubate.  Hope this bug is fixed soon

I mean what is the incubator using power for if it's not keeping the egg at ideal temperature/pressure?

I've hatched eggs perfectly fine in non sterile environments like polluted oxygen.

The eggs will lose their freshness in the incubator at a rate of -6% per cycle, as if they were let on the ground... But they are decaying at a slower pace than I though. You just need to make sure the egg is fresh enough.
