The morb spam

Recommended Posts

Just a few days ago, i was having trouble spawning morbs, mostly due to my own poor design and stupidity. So i got rottintin's automated morb spawner concept, built a few outhouses on a high traffic area with basic automation to lock them down if being cleaned up, and ended up getting some morbs. Then sort of forgot about it, while focusing on other stuff.

Later on, i noticed this

Those outhouses have not been cleaned for a long time, and keep spawning morbs. Those morbs on the floor are just from that one outhouse with the open floor door. What i noticed here was one of the other outhouses have only 1 and the other 2 morbs (stuck in the doors). I was led to think a full outhouse could only spawn one morb, then had to be cleaned up. It doesnt appear to be the case here. They just keep pouring off the outhouse with the opened floor door, that for some reason a morb insists in keeping opened. Maybe theyre planning an invasion.

Unless it's been recently tweaked - outhouses used to be hard capped at 3 x morb spawns per "uncleaned" toilet... Not done any testing with this for a while as morbs are pretty worthless currently, so can't confirm.

That was changed a good while, at least two months, ago to just one morb per uncleaned toilet. However, you could then refill it and get one more morb, rinse repeat ad nauseum (pun intended).

Or you could save scrum more morbs but I think that has been fixed now actually.

kind of looks like the opened door rendering the outhouse as broken is also blocking the spawn limit counter so it just keeps spitting more out.  And the way the pressure switch is set up,  those doors don't look like they can ever close again

Have to try that and see if it is true...
