mr peeps
So I've been having this idea that I think would give ice/snow a better use in the game. Basically, the dupes would dump in ice, then the coolness radiating off of the ice would cool the surrounding area. When the ice melts, it would pour into a bottle/empty into a reservoir. Drew a little sketch, (sorry its bad first time using paint) Ideas? thoughts? Questions? concerns? Also, maybe this could have a more powerful effect? I don't think it's bulky. It's less than half of the nullifier size. And you can leave the water in place for a lot of additional cooling. Edit: okay, not less than half, but still substantially smaller than nullifier. It also depends on what tiles you count. Kabrute
so you want it to act like the thermo nulifier and be small enough to spread around..... like a weeze wort? It would be nice if we could build compactors out of metals/refined metals for a thermal conductivity boost, fill em with ice and slap a tsp behind it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/89168-the-entropy-nullifier-mini-or-something/#findComment-1020275 Share on other sites

ImpalerWrG
The current small manual cooling fan thing is terrible, but if you ran on a hunk of ice and produced water (rather then destroying precious water) it might actually be useful. I often try to incorporate ice based cool in my base and it's very inefficient. When it's submerged in some cases it helps, but dupes have to stand in the liquid while using hydrofan, raises stress. When i need exos, to power hydrofans, that makes not really sense, because hydrofan should be low tier. There are better high tier solutions, but i have no clue how that thing works.
