Miztergrinch Posted March 22, 2018 Share Posted March 22, 2018 ok so first try with rancher upgrade. have 4 hatches tamed but they are not eating anything. i have never had an issue with these critters before. so coal is not being created. i have done everything that has worked in the past. now even have a critter feeding station.....and nothing....at a loss well after all this time i finally see they are eating....have the conditions by which they produce coal changed? Luminite2 Posted March 22, 2018 Share Posted March 22, 2018 They eat when they're hungry. Like dupes, they have an internal kcal counter that falls over time. It falls faster for tamed critters than it does for wild ones (meaning tame ones eat/consume more). If you tame them, you will be able to see this count. I used them normally to get rid of my polluted dirt from outhouses ... and was a little bit disappointed lately. Howver I saw one eating 350kg Sandstone suddenly during the night. They seem to eat an insane amount of raw minerals now. Like they went through nearly 2T of sandstone a day. I am now wondering how I am going to feed them sustain-ably. I have 10 of them and as soon as the feeder is filled its EMPTY. I put 2 feeders next to each other. Both empty pretty fast.
