calecaz
So I have some P. Peps in hydroponic farms that got too cold, and stopped growing. However.. it seems they are still consuming PW. In a previous save, I thought i remembered non-growing plants not in-taking water/p.water. Is this a bug, or am i just mis-remembering (or maybe things changed). Neotuck
I'll check but I know they didn't I turned off the light to so some bristles and they stopped taking in water from the pipes Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/88768-do-stifled-plants-consume-resources/#findComment-1016117 Share on other sites
calecaz
You can see the mini-packets of p.water moving forward here to the cold plant. IDK.. 90% of the time when i think there's a bug.. it turns out to just be my ignorance that's causing things to not work right 20 minutes ago, Neotuck said: I turned off the light to so some bristles and they stopped taking in water from the pipes hmm... is it because the p.peps have farmers touch theyre taking in water?? calecaz
Well, at least I'm not totally crazy... (or not the only one who's crazy ). Hey, thanks for helping me troubleshoot this! Supraluminal
Another thing to check for is your polluted water offgassing into polluted oxygen. That causes small PW flows to idle machinery (e.g. refineries using PW as coolant) as small amounts of water are continually needing to be replaced, could be the same thing here. calecaz
hmm maybe, it will off-gas when in the hydro farm? i have a messy set-up so that will be hard to test. Mijae
I noticed my dupes delivering fertilizer to my sleet wheat farms even though they were marked as stifled above temp (still on OU). Sounds like a similar issue. Sounds like a similar issue. did you check the sleet wheat themselves to see if their fertilizer count was dropping? or was their fertilizer already low before they became stifled? also dupes will still try to apply "farmers touch" to stiffed plants Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/88768-do-stifled-plants-consume-resources/#findComment-1016610 Share on other sites

Coolthulhu
Stifled plants certainly do consume resources in some cases. So far I've seen the following: Stifled berry not consuming water Same stifled berry suddenly consuming water after loading a save Stifled mealwood consuming dirt even without save+load Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/88768-do-stifled-plants-consume-resources/#findComment-1016624 Share on other sites
magei
My maelwood farm on Rancher preview also consumed dirt even while over temp Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/88768-do-stifled-plants-consume-resources/#findComment-1016718 Share on other sites
TehPlayer14
Yeah they consume resources when their conditions aren't met just like some electrical buildings draining power I don't know if this is a feature or not Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/88768-do-stifled-plants-consume-resources/#findComment-1016838 Share on other sites
