Somehow got 84 Leafy meats while grass farming.

Recommended Posts

So, I was on a pretty late game server and I decided to build a lureplant grass farm (shown below) with 2 lureplants and Wicker's growth books. Anywho, the first time I used it, everything was relatively normal. I got around 1k grass, and each lureplant had 3 leafy meat. However, one thing to note was during this first trial, all the eyeplants were looking up, not at each other. They also weren't attacking each other.

However, the second time I did this, something was different.

First, I think I used more growth books this time, 3.6 (18 reads). Secondly, there were many more eyeplants this time, and were all looking and biting at each other. The lureplants kept on raising and lowering their leafy meat because of this. But most shockingly, when I destroyed the two lureplants for the grass, there were 84 leafy meats, in 5 neat stacks.

Any explanations how? Cause this is way more effective than traditional leafy meat farms.

Also sorry about the sandstorm and full moon.

Is it possible that each lureplant was eating the leafy meats off of the other lureplants? Therefore creating a cycle of harvesting each other.

I saw a farm in which leafy bulbs were set up near ponds, and frogs would pull leafy meat off every time they hit the bulbs. The bulbs would regen the meat almost immediately. That sounds simlar to what happened here.

How were the lure-plants placed originally? can you try to repeat the process? It would be interesting to get a tutorial of sorts or a way to repeat this consistently.

EDIT: I mean repeat the leafy meat loophole to obtain copious amounts of it, not the grass farm (which I've done before)

Unfortunately, this is very inconsistent, as I think it was based on the random spawning of the eyeplants. I ran the farm like 4 or 5 more times, and all got different results. I've gotten around 35 meats once, but more often or not I just get like 20.
