My automatic fast airlock 100%garantee

There are quite a lot of designs for making a 100% airlock using liquids and automation. When it's all said and done it's still very inpractical and only the super bored will actually build this in their non-debug world :)

Problem I had when I was trying to make some simple (and maybe practical) automated airlock is that automation can currently make doors only open or locked and not "auto".
And if path from one side to another becomes locked at some point when one duplicant is going through, all other duplicants that have planned path through that airlock would stop, drop stuff on the ground and search for other tasks.

Yea automation doesn't cover every possible thing you can automate. The restriction with the doors is annoying but I don't know a way Klei could make it work fully without adding a third signal which would be super confusing.

Agree.  That is a lot of work and significant dup productivity hit when just 4 doors in a row or a simple liquid airlock will do.  Beyond "look at this cool thing", not sure any real in-game use.  Kind of my take on most automation stuff...seems like a tool looking for a job.
