Cawub
I've been reading the vignettes descriptions and they keep talking about, The Constant. I'm guessing its the world the survivors are in but, why is it called The Constant? Do you guys know? BiddoBams
Because it sounds cool as hell Besides that, the definition of Constant is "never changing, uniform, persistent" All words which perfectly describe the world of Don't Starve. You can die there, but you'll always be back, the struggle never ends. Without it being a metaphor of a math teacher going "nah nah your math theory doesn't match my own theories". I need to stop trying to derail threads, I really like what you wrote. ShadowDuelist
To me all of this makes more plausible the idea of a don't starve "multiverse". It seems that Wilson, Maxwell, Charlie and the gang exists on the constant, and that there are other planes/universes which can be connected through portals/magic/shadybuses. This opens multiverse conflicts possibilities which lore-wise would be huge . Spoiler The forge events seem like an invasion to the constant, and our heroes are Charlie's pawns/champions, the only ones that can stop it. This also reveals that the throne's powers extend only to the limits of the constant, and not to other planes or their inhabitants. Developer ImDaMisterL Posted October 25, 2017 Developer Share Posted October 25, 2017 So, the Kleiverse theory can officially become canon now, basically. The Curator
Only reason for it to be called constant is if something adjacently significant is not.
