Plant lure plants around him and wAit for eyeplants to spawn the initiate the fight and the lureplants will attack it. (Make sure to kill the lureplants afterwards for the loot)

there is a way to get the eyeplants to spawn instantly. You dont need to wait for days.

Woooow really? I was building a Mega Pigmen Republic around the toadstool to fight it, but the lureplants solution sounds way cheaper xD

That wouldn't work anyways, at a certain point in the fight pigmen and bunnymen start panicking and quit attacking him.

Oh and what is this way? I would really like to know. I know that in the singleplayer game you can just hit it right after placing it and it will start spawning the eyeplants but it never really worked for me in DST.

you need a friend for that, you must plant it and instantly your friend must hit the plant, if is done correctly you should see the eyeplant in a bugged animation where it holds the leafy meat but without the meat, then the eyes will grow one by one, I think that you can make it alone but I don't know how

well you dont need a friend for it you can be fast enough to do it yourself just have to hit control f just the moment you plant it and it should work if not can just keep trying

I think if they are many enough they can help to reduce toadstool hp a bit. Or that's what I hope. Joemocoolstuff (or however he is called in the forum, I forgot) made it with bunnymen :)

I was doing tests with the lure plants and every time I get like 3 of those bad boys planted, the toad wrecks everything, Idk how you even get the eyes to hit toad, because when I do it, they ignore toad and then toad takes everything down.

I can see using a tentacle book from Wickerbottom and then also attacking it would be a good way of combating that creature,

having 4 spawned in would do 136 damage,(34 damage from each) this would basically be Wolfgang damage plus you and some other people, cons is that eventually they will die off from the explosive attacks, but if your well prepared, you can spawn more when that happens.

so lets say 4 tentacles (136), plus  3 people with shadow Swords, (204), 340 damage,(that can change based on who your playing as), another good thing is while your chopping, the tentacles will continue attacking and will do double damage.

I've tried this with a massive field of tentacles, like 5 books worth. It's not worth it at all. Toadstool does massive aoe and just kills them almost instantly. The few ones that remain just mess with your movement and further drain your sanity.

Wicker's tentacles are good for other bosses, but not this one.
