StarvedKasad
Hello, I'd like to ask a few questions regarding these changes from DS to DST. First of all, moleworms. Why were they nerfed so badly in DST? If you shovel their borrows in the morning the borrows dissapear. It's a pain in the ass to farm them now and their existence as a means for rocks, flint and nitre has been significantly reduced. Also people pick wendys and their abigails kill the moleworms when near them.I think it's kind of a bug that's been since DS. Secondly, and I'm guessing this is for PvP purposes, you can no longer order friendly pigs/bunnies to attack something by just clicking attack. You need to make the attack movement in order for them to attack their target. Is this for PvP purposes or to make the game harder?Because honestly I don't understand why the attack command needed a nerf, unless it's for...the pvp,for some reason. Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67720-couple-things-i-dont-understand-in-dst/ Share on other sites

As for the second part maybe you're right. Arlesienne
Odd. I would just capture a moleworm, dig the burrow, release the animal and give it some time. After all they are primarily nocturnal animals - it takes a bit, but the burrows eventually reappear. So if you dig the burrow in the morning while the moleworm is in the burrow,it doesn't dissapear? Are we talking about DST here? Maslak
She is just showing a way to move the moleworm. But you're right, when moleworm sleeps in a burrow, digging it up results in moleworm vanishing. In singleplayer he just appears and digs another burrow, in DST he dissapears as you said. t0panka
- when moleworm leaves burrow you can dig it and he will make new one - when you dig it with him in it it will disappear and i THINK that mole will be gone too - when moleworm dies and you dig his hole everything is gone - when moleworm dies and you wont dig his hole he will respawn - SO this is good to know especially in cave/ruins bases so you can "farm" rocks without doing anything just time to time dig up their holes. You just have to make sure that moleworm from THAT hole is still alive and wont die in earthquake Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/67720-couple-things-i-dont-understand-in-dst/#findComment-778107 Share on other sites

The client<->server handling is basically you, the client, piloting a dummy around with inputs. The server handles all the logic, movement, and actions. The attack button, default F and control+F, sends to the server immediately that you wish to attack creature X and states if it's a forced attack or not. Same with leftclicking on something to attack. So the server knows when the client wants to attack something, it just moves the client towards the target first instead of making the thing hostile immediately.
