Quyzbuk Posted April 11, 2016 Share Posted April 11, 2016 I decided to hop on my Light's Out world yesterday and noticed it was considerably darker than usual. I look around and I noticed the Maxwell lights I had spawned in to help newcomers had all mysteriously vanished. I tried to spawn new ones ("maxwelllight" & "maxwelllight_area") but apparently the prefab is now gone so nothing spawned. Stranger still, when the next in-game day came, the world (which is quite a number of patches old - pre caves beta even) suddenly stopped being in Light's Out mode, despite everything in the world viewer, save for the "Start" option which now was on "default", still saying that it should be in Light's Out. Even the day setting was still set to "only night", but it's running regular days now. I created a new world just to make sure the mode wasn't completely broken and I can confirm that it isn't, but I'm still a bit puzzled as to why I can no longer spawn Maxwell lights into my DST world. I mean the other stuff from adventure mode still exists (Maxwell's Mosquito and Tooth Traps, Basalt, etc) but these don't. Did I accidentally stumble on a surprise rework or is this a bug? DwerBomb Posted April 12, 2016 Share Posted April 12, 2016 Maxwell's lights were removed from DS too, but that was a bug caused by SW and I don't know if it has been fixed yet. The thing is DST is a different game, so this is a weird coincidence ... Quyzbuk Posted April 14, 2016 Author Share Posted April 14, 2016 Well apparently these lights were just removed for the sake of being removed since they were a now-unused adventure mode leftover if today's Maxwell stream is anything to go by. I'm not quite sure why we can still spawn Maxwell mosquito traps, tooth traps, and the other things if that is the case. At any rate, I really hope that decision gets reversed since they were so useful for making Light's Out mode more DST friendly than what we currently have. Really though, they weren't hurting anything existing in the console spawn-only state, please do consider adding them back Klei.
