I was thinking; why not the splumonkeybarrel? Then you got something that was already there. As for the bananatree, I do think that's a bit too exclusive. Maybe he can 'smell' trees in the caves and locate them on the map.

But he can't befriend Splumonkeys and they're still hostile to him. Not fond of it :/

I thought that was a bug, but I suppose I wouldn't accept someone from farawaylands as my king

I agree, but the thing is...They still shouldn't be hostile to him. After all, he is an ape and quite similar to them. If he won't engage them, they shouldn't engage him. Its like how Webber is a spider on 2 legs, yet the other spiders excuse it, unless he engages them in combat.

Yeah, but monkeys aren't friendly friend pally pals with monkeys from other groups or places...

Maybe they recognize Wilbur as a threat to their leader? Seeing as he's a king and would likely fight for power?

Technically they don't. Not in-code or game at least.

Maybe that's also it? They're afraid they'll be controlled by some kind of leader?

There's also all the nightmare influence in the caves and ruins...

shadow splumonkeys should be hostile to willbur even if they're normally neutral to him, so there's that.

By scavange I mean steal things that they see. So like, they see Willson carrying things and they immediatly attempt to take it for themselves. I don't think they have a king though, do they?

No, they don't have a king.

I always saw the splumonkeys as even more "uncivilized" monkeys, that have their behavior influenced by the nightmare present underground.

Yeah thats what I meant. I don't think they even realize what a king is.
