Basically, I hate the "seasons" in Shipwrecked.

3 "seasons" out of 4 mean just this : downtime.

The time that just wastes one's time.  No gains, no challenges, just wasting one's time while waiting for a better season.

In theory, those seasons look great. In practice, though .. they are just extra ambient annoyance with no benefits. I do not mind waves.

Thanks for listening.

I don't understand this. If there are no challenges, why are they a "downtime"? Isn't this basically saying "because of the challenges presented in these seasons, I can't do what I do in the mild season"?

Also, on a separate note, based on the votes, the seasons seem to be fairly balanced now.

I'm the other masochistic moron voting against Calm season apparently, I thought more people would be annoyed by it, since it's just "free season for survival".  I kinda like that whole "doom and gloom building up" as you go through increasingly rougher seasons.  Of course I would end up dead, but I find such a prospect of "uphill survival" quite intriguing.

Increasingly worse seasons might actually be a pretty cool mod for slightly more experienced or adventurous players :)

Well, I agree it should remain, it would be unnecessarily cruel for many players and their base building, I am just stating I would like to see a mod which changes that...

I just realized while typing my last reply that even Autumn had the giant. Mild needs to have a boss the second time though.

I believe the Tigershark and Quacken are available all year round.  Might be wrong about that though.

yeah they are. I sorta dont like how you have to go out and find the boss. I like the giants because they sorta appeared.

I feel it fascinating that as of right now, Hurricane, Monsoon, and Dry Season are tied in the polls, Surely they must be pretty well designed challenges if the general reaction towards the seasons is so evenly spread. For example, if everyone had voted for one season, it would suggest that one season was particularly unbalanced.

True Daggaroth - it seems they are well balanced. I'm little surprised but it's nice :-)
