Not too long after falling asleep, Kate let out a soft whimper and twitched, then went still and quiet again. She remained this way long enough for Wiffleball to dismiss it, until she tensed and rolled over onto her other side. A shiver rolled down her body and she whimpered again. Kate was having a nightmare.

Wiffleball noticed Kate's distress. Obviously, she was having a nightmare, but...what could he do to help? Beyond just passively being there, he'd never had to do anything else in particular. Surely there was something, though! Keeping one eye on the silhouette in the chair - it hadn't moved or shown any hostility yet, but he wasn't taking any chances - Wiffleball began thinking. Well, maybe...he could try talking to Kate. She might be able to hear him, even if she was asleep. It was worth a shot, right?

"DOИ'T BƎ SCAЯED, KATƎ. YOU'ЯE SAFƎ AИD SOUИD!"

thank you all. TuT}

"Alright. Sounds like a plan." Gilda takes the mean and eats it herself. Nice change from fish for once.

Wheke stared at the floor. "T-Trevor?" O^O

Wheke runs bellow deck looking for his/her tiny friend. "Trevor! Don't tell me you died! Treeevor!"

Noctimus's whining and squirming and the voice in her head didn't wake her up fully, just enough to interrupt her dream and make her faintly aware of something under her head that wasn't pillow. Kate rolled over onto her back and started falling into deep sleep again.

The shadow in the chair made no sounds or movements. It was if it was dead.

The dragon really really wanted to sleep on top of the curled up tursi, but it was too high up and she still couldn't fly. T^T

The shadow remained perfectly still, slumped in the chair. No response.

At first dragon wondered how the heck she had missed the blatantly obvious step like formation before, but quickly dismissed it. There was climbing to do! She climbed up the tendrils until she made it to the top, stepped around in a small circle a couple times, then lied down. Yes. This was good.
