Maybe the parrot drops gold coins randomly.Maybe he has an eye patch so he reveals less of the map when he explores.He has a beard so maybe he has some benefits like Wilson.Can craft a pirate sail to travel faster at sea.Just throwing my random ideas out there.. maybe one or two are good.Except another sail idea (a LOT of sails are coming on their way! Even iron sail! Look at the tuning.lua), all else sounds fabulous. Land can make him drop sanity, so he should do whatever necessary to debuf that, not another hat. But I would love if it would be possible to drain sanity on land which could only be debuffed by the hat. That needs too much code change in game mechanic on sanity, though. Without that, another fancy hat is complicating game. Nah, that's not what I was implying, I just meant that the pirate hat would be a good option because it's cheap, fits the character, and is very good at restoring sanity. Since monster meat is soo easy to get. It would be a great source of getting gold since the new update the slotmachine is awfull !!!! Except for the walking cane ofcourse. A bit OP won't u think! Maxturra Posted February 1, 2016 Share Posted February 1, 2016 My idea is that he could have a special hat, the one he wears in the pics, it should be unbreakable and boost his sanity. He starts with his hat and one harpoon gun, he walks slow and does less damage while in land, but sails boats faster and they take less damage from waves and enemies. I like the pet parrot idea but seems OP, and I think my stats are balanced. Other sailing perks would be appropriate like having boats degrade slower and/or take slightly less damage from attacks. However here's a couple of other ideas that might be more viable in RoG. -Wooden legs are flammable, so he can catch on fire like other creatures. -Booty hunter. killing a monster gets you two "Rolls" on their droppable loot, so rare items are more common. -Can "Eat" wood and twigs to heal damage by fixing up his legs. (Works up to 33% of his total health, so mostly useful at critically low health.) Maxturra Posted February 1, 2016 Share Posted February 1, 2016 I know man, but we don't need another challenging character, we need an interesting one for shipwrecked, Walani is disappointing and Warly is kinda good for travelling and such but once you set up a base he isn't really that interesting. I also liked your ideas with the fire vulnerability and booty hunting. Maxturra Posted February 2, 2016 Share Posted February 2, 2016 I agree to both Zeklo and hijoker, I also think that there shouldn't be a focus on RoG, since this is another DLC with lots of different content, and he is a pirate, he is more on exploring the sea rather than walking around with legs made of wood. I agree about "world-hopping" tough, I want a Tam o' Shanter in shipwrecked.
