"Oh, very well." A being in a large, black cloak emerged from behind a tree. Or, at least, it seemed it used to be a black cloak, but was now ornamented with bright streaks of red, green, and blue.

 

"Let's go, then." Tiresias began off in a seemingly random direction, walking towards the door.

(Sirus hasn't done much in a while. Neither has Woodie.)

Kate didn't know exactly why they were leaving or what was so special about this door, but she followed the grown-ups anyway, not wanting to be left behind. "Maybe it's a door to a big, scarry looking mansion, and that's why no one has went through it yet." Kade pondered aloud. "We could go through it no problem, couldn't we Kate! We're not a bunch of scaredy cats." he grinned confidently. Kate wasn't sure how she'd feel about walking through an old, creaking abandoned house full of dust and dry old wood and pieces of furniture covered up and left behind by the previous owners. She didn't think she'd be scared exactly, she just didn't think she'd like it. Even if they were just passing by in the car, places like that always gave off a lonely, empty feeling to her, but the presence of Kade and the others would probably lessen the effect.

(You know things are getting serious when someone says the word sigh instead of actually sighing.)

 

Now that Sirus seemed so reluctant, Kate felt guilty for getting him to go along instead of letting him do whatever it was he was going to do. She was also feeling rather hungry. Now that she thought about it, she never ate dinner last night or breakfast today, and now it was around lunch time(?)...
