ThePurplePanda Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Hi everyone, I updated my OS yersteday (W7 to W10)... and it was just horrible.Everything was working fine until I tried to launch couple of games... Some games don't even launch and Don't Starve was just super slow (even in the menu, i was like at 4 fps...). I don't know if DST has trouble with the new OS, but it seems to me that W10 really slow down my performances. Does everyone encounter the same problem ? Again, they said you had to defrag first before anything else... For now, I'll just wait a little and hoping Microsoft will make some performances updates... Kzisor Posted July 31, 2015 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Windows 10 seems to play the game faster than Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 did on my machines. Might be an issue with corrupted setting files, I suggest backing up the computer then either a) recovering it or b) doing a fresh install. Either way back up important things on your computer first and foremost. My CGU did not have the correct driver. For info, it's a geforce gtx 970. If you also have a problem with it, just Google "windows 10 driver nvidia" to make sure you have the last drivers.
