map command ruining the game.

Recommended Posts

there is a map command you can type into console TheWorld.minimap.MiniMap:ShowArea(0,0,0,10000) that reveals the map

there are players out there who use it to rush pan flute as wigfrid and kill everyone on the server. can someone from klei address this concern. i love this game but i find this quite unfair and not fun. Thank you

It doesn't show minimap icons, though. That still requires some work to find it.

Well, considering that the Glommer Statue isn't far from the Pig Village in Deciduous forest and that the pig village is a grassland area in the deciduous forest, I think that'll be VERY easy for someone to find the pan flute and then just wreck everybody with the pan flute.

I didn't even know this was an issue but my general advice is to keep a safe distance from all Wigfrid players.  She seems to typically be the first choice for angry players looking to hurriedly join a server and try to kill people.

Thanks for the heads up though.  I will keep an eye for people like this.

Disabling movement prediction is an option. Revealing the map with console commands is akin to teleportation/spawning in items/duplication.

Revealing the map with this console command is also an option. You can choose to do it, or you can choose not do it. However, as a non admin on a server you cannot teleport or spawn items.

Until it is fixed, many people are going to use it, including myself.
