3Nex
When my sanity goes down, the best and only reasonable remedy is sleeping. But once I go to sleep, the nightmare monsters punch me and wake me up, my Straw roll goes to waste, I didn't regain any Sanity and pretty soon I die. Was this intended or is this a bug? Because it was quite expected from my side that any haunting ghostly apparitions that haunt me because I'm losing my mind, would immediately go away once I manage to calm down and catch some sleep. Trenix
Not sure, but as a tip for you, try using jerky for sanity. You're going to need it when you fight bigger monsters anyway.
Asparagus
You can eat COOKED Green Shrooms.Cooked: +15 sanity, -1 hpUncooked: -50 sanity, +hunger (I forgot ho much) They're a better way to get sane in early game, if you see one, don't hesitate to pick it. There's a lot of them in the swamps. Sleeping does heal but at the cost of hunger. At times when in a server where almost everything has been picked, this is what you need. ...Shrooms O__O
mrskitsrevived
I support this suggestion. As an item that is supposed to recover sanity, it doesn't make sense for it's efficiency to be reduced when you're insane.
Auth
I'm sorry, but it's made of straw. You suddenly scrambling awake whilst getting hit is probably enough to undo whatever is holding it together, causing all the grass to flatten out on the floor. 3Nex
I'm sorry, but it's made of straw. You suddenly scrambling awake whilst getting hit is probably enough to undo whatever is holding it together, causing all the grass to flatten out on the floor. I'm not saying it's the Straw roll that should remain, I didn't expect it to still be there after being used. What I'm saying is that the nightmare creatures that shouldn't be able to wake me up in the first place. Because they are my nightmare creatures, they are in my head due to me going insane. So once I fall asleep, they shouldn't be able to punch me anymore. The Straw roll going to waste is just something I mentioned to emphasize my point of how, due to being hit by a nightmare creature, I wasn't able to regain any sanity with it. Asparagus
Because they are my nightmare creatures, they are in my head due to me going insane. Not really... they're a persistent entity, they exist all around. The thing is, they can only be perceived once your mind lets go of reality (by going insane) which lets you see into their realm... or was it they are attracted to insanity and manifest themselves around a person who's going insane. Something like that... it is not in your head... other players can attack them once they manifest, even if you're the only one going insane. Careless
You're supposed to use the roll BEFORE you get that low in insanity, or eat green cooked shrooms and then go to bed. And, "nightmare" creatures shouldnt' be able to attack you when sleeping? Really? Think about that for a minute.
werlpolf
But once I go to sleep, the nightmare monsters punch me and wake me up I cannot find the resource, but I think its a bug or not?? Usually the nightmare monster should stop attacking you, when you are sleeping (and is logical)
DreamApart
they are attracted to insanity and manifest themselves around a person who's going insane. I think they (Shadow Creatures) and the Grue feed on people's fear, so that explains why they don't attack you when you are asleep (In single-player, or DS). But, usually when there are Shadow Creatures (or coming hounds) around, you can't sleep.
