1st topic was locked, why recreate a new one ? Also should use the "contact option" not post on general game forum, so .... you must be the worst guy for admin/mod or whatever I have seen asking for

im 14 years old

This is a professional gaming company, not a minecraft server. Besides, there's no way in holy high hell anyone would hire you for staff when you haven't been on for even a month. Well, someone might, if they manage to own a forum and have absoloutely 0 IQ. Klei hires staff because they can see they are good with the community, not good at computer coding.

Why does everyone feel the need to kick the kid?

He's 14 and wants to start handling his own affairs?  GOOD FOR HIM.  Most 14 year olds just want to do nothing and take advantage of someone else's money.  But this guy wants to be an earner and not a loafer.  I say, Good.

Now, he also mentioned in his post that he wanted to be a moderator or forum staff.  He did not mention he was looking for full-time employment from Klei Entertainment.  This is kind of the idea job for a 14-year-old.  As long as he handles himself professionally, nobody will ever actually know that he's 14 unless he decides to bring it up himself. A "faceless internet poster" can compose themself however they choose.  And if he handles himself well, then there is no reason age should be an issue.  Unless of course we get into labor laws, of which I am not an expert.  [i Am Not A Lawyer].

Finally, I would say, Yes, he started off on the wrong foot.  If I were hiring someone, I would want them to be able to portray an image of professionalism.  Not using correct grammar, not using punctuation, not using capitalization, and not using the proper channels are clear signs that maybe this candidate is not ready for any level of responsibility.  Thus, I would probably pass on this person at a first glance.  If I were looking for a job, I would contact individuals in the right area and present to them a professional image.  Especially since first impressions are lasting.  Especially since the initial method of contact is going to be written communication.

I'm not upset at a 14-year-old looking for a job.  But I would immediately disregard this candidate since it portrays one who is immature and unprofessional, regardless of age.  If this communication came across my desk, you could replace all instances of the number 14 with 44 and I would still treat it the same.

Polish your communication skills a little, and you'll see a massive increase in opportunities.

Klei doesn't pay mods though.

In reality, the best way to become a mod is to be an exceptional member of the community. You shouldn't need to be a mod to help people. The only thing becoming a mod does is put a bit of extra weight behind what you say and do.

When you're that age, an Internet "job" isn't always about the money. Sometimes it's to feel a sense of pride or to feel like you're actually being useful when you feel you have no real role in life. It can temporarily fill a void that the kid's feeling, possibly caused by problems at school and/or home.

Kids can be surprisingly adult for their age, thus not fit in with their peers (trust me; I was one of them). This kid, provided (s)he fixes the grammar and learns forum formatting, could do well as well as an adult in the moderator role - if not better due to the kid being able to relate to a growing number of teens in the forums down to the popularity of DST.

That said, first impressions weren't great, plus I'm not sure asking here is the right place. At least (s)he's keen.
