I don't kill moleworms

Recommended Posts

I haven't discovered every creature (I'm still pretty new to the game and I avoid spoilers so I'm not sure how many I have left to go) but so far my favorite animal is the moleworm.  I know they are total pests, but I just think they are freaking adorable. I think of them as Nifflers (from Harry Potter: those sparkle/shiny seeking little snufflers) and I never kill them unless I really have to.

Anyone else have a favorite animal or another quirk that causes them to play less-efficiently but they do it anyway?  :)

PS I gotta go make my pic for this forum a moleworm now. Or maybe a catcoon. They're cute too.

I haven't seen glommers yet! Too adorable! I just for the first time today came across whatever you call those live birchnuts that spawn from the angry birchnut tree.  I almost died because I kept making them spawn so I could look at them. :-)

And, OMG, baby tallbirds...

And I really don't want anyone to worry about putting something up for fear of spoiling for someone.  If you're on the forums, you're gonna see spoilers, I'm ready for it!

In the orange forest biome, If you see a Glommer statue, Every full moon a flower will spawn on the statue and when you pick it a Glommer spawns. Its friendly and follows you around!

Also: Once you find Chester you will explode with joy.

I don't kill catcoons though, much too cute.

I'm guessing they have to be killed to get their tails.  But I like feeding them and watching them catch birds.  And retching up stuff like hairballs is too funny!

Oh and they kill my little moleworms, so I will have to be careful now not to let them follow me to the burrows.

As long as you don't touch my red robin in its cage, I'm ok with that. I don't hate moleworms. But underground, when they fall because of tremors, they are a plague. Last time, I killed one of them that fell maybe 20 days ago because it stole mah marble, it gave me three gems and other common stuff with it...

We have something in common...you don't like killing cute and fluffy creatures, neither do I...I want to capture them all for pets.  ^_^

Yeah, I've killed them to get back those first few pieces of flint or gold that I desperately need, but it made me frown.  Super sad face.

Ha ha, and I'm guessing from your name you are also a female gamer?  We are a rare breed, sometimes I think, but growing in number!

Am I the only one who wants a dragonfly as a trusty, faithful, destroying the crap out of everything companion?

Just me? K. Cool.

I'm sure you're not alone, lol.  But I think I might be ruining it's bad-ass-ery by saying the picture of the dragonfly from the wiki makes it look so CUTE!!!!

Just sayin'.

Nah. People love Cthulhu, and no one thinks that makes it any less bad-ass. Then again, it is Cthulhu

I never kill catcoons. They're disgusting, what with throwing up all over the place, but I just can't bring myself to kill a cat-related creature. This is pure evil.

I don't kill pigs either. I won't kill a sentient creature just because I need to make an umbrella or a football helmet. There are alternatives to get pig skin, you just need to smash a pig head on a spike or something.

And I never kill Glommer either, but that's only because I don't want an useless Krampus coming. Instead I just walk the bug to a catcoon or take it with me when there's a hound attack, and accidents happen, you know?

So interesting that you won't kill the pigs! I guess I'm used to killing "sentient" creatures in other games as enemies, so I didn't even think twice about it.  I didn't know about smashing the heads, thanks for the tip!

I like your "accidents happen" solution, made me laugh. :)

Killing a sentient creature that is trying to kill you is fair game. To quote the wise Captain Reynolds, "if someone tries to kill you, you try to kill them right back!". Killing one in cold blood for personal profit is murder.

Unless I'm playing GTA or an evil character in a RPG, I don't murder people. Call me old-fashioned. :joyous:

Even if that one would literally give zero craps about you gathering them up and transforming all his neighbours into monsters and then beating them up for said profit?

As a matter of fact, they'll even help you beat them up if you've given them a piece of meat, and why, they'd be first in line to eat the skin and meat off the ground if you don't take it before they can react. Eh, I'm finding "sentience" to be a difficult argument here.

If they were so well-capable of looking at their own state and pushing away what they didn't want, chances are they'd learn after the fifth guy beside them has been transformed and beaten to death. Unless you mean to say that they like getting violently transformed and murdering everything around them.
