Any old conventional definition will work. Financially, artistically. Its a success. The game sold one million copies by the end of it's first year released (2013), and thats not including beta sales. Critically acclaimed art design yada yada yada.

 

I don't trust EA. I don't trust Ubisoft, I don't trust Treyarch, or Activision.

 

I trust Klei.

 

They gots what I need.

It's already been announced PvP will be an option in Don't Starve Together.

While that does seem logical, I think it could be released faster this time. The last add on was also the first when they were just publishing on ps4 so they had to get used to it. This time it should be easier, especially if they run tests on ps4 as well as PC.

There is still most of August left, and technically summer ends in late September.

They have to convert a game designed solely for singleplayer to multiplayer, including the re-balancing. Right now it'd be a makeshift crude buggy unbalanced multiplayer that does not go beyond making a science machine. Noone wants that

With the addition of multiplayer, the price of Don't Starve will go up to $19.99 USD around the time Alpha becomes available.

Buy the PC version now for the original price (including rights on multiplayer once it's out), or wait until it is out and buy it for 19.99 then. (may be more efficient due to inflation.) Does not work for console.

Uh, no. It ends with 22./23. September. At least in Europe it does, of course not on the southern hemisphere. I don't know the meteorological end, so you may be right with that one, of course only for your home region.
