CodexLumen
Bamboo should appear in its own biome. Chopping it down should give bamboo "wood". Digging up the stump should give bamboo root, which can be eaten.Bamboo should grow rapidly. Its wood should have the same fuel value as regural wood... The bamboo forest should be rare. GalloViking
Good idea. And you could cut them fairly easely. With new mobs in the forest, panda based.
Doomfan64
Good idea. And you could cut them fairly easely. With new mobs in the forest, panda based.Pandamen could be a more advanced race, with like a big castle and stuff that gets raided every few days by a wave of Bambooguards. You could choose to either help the pandamen out, and they'd give you a reward of some kind, or you can help the Bambooguards which will give you their own reward. The Pandamen should be very scary looking so we don't feel bad about siding with the bambooguards.

InaneDugong
Whilst this sounds amazing, Don't Starve isn't an MMO - it's not meant to feel populated with anything likening to civilisation.
Plague Mouse
Aren't reeds pretty much bamboo? They are used to make blowdarts and the cane, both which appear to be made from bamboo.
