It just felt like an item that does nothing (except for looking good) but never wears out, and now... And yes, I know that it has 20% water resistance, but still... That's not a lot... So... Yah... Wearing this with the pretty parasol while standing under full grown trees still isn't enough to keep the rain back. By the time 12 grass isn't that annoying to go foraging for, I will have better rain gear and this makes the straw hat worthless. ( Don't tell Klei, but the miner's light gives the minor protection like the straw hat. It's not that these things make sense independently, it's that lots of things don't make sense to the same degree. For instance, Grass Suit vs Wood Suit - when is the Grass Suit ever useful? The cost-jump to the Wood Suit and the requirement of research at a Science Machine puts it about 1 day in research/foraging ahead of the Grass Suit. When is the Grass Suit useful thereafter?
