A Grue Posted December 31, 2013 Share Posted December 31, 2013 I'm trying to raise a smallbird but I have a problem - I use a toothtrap field to deal with wolves on day 175+... and my smallbird gets destroyed immediately since he follows me everywhere. I tried to build a pen around him but he slips through the walls. Anyone have any suggestions to keep him alive or am I doomed to never raise a smallbird? I mean, the little bugger will betray you anyway!Sense of achievement and it evolves into a "Smallish Bird" which is more powerful, and looks cool. I raised 8 smallbirds at a time. they are so demanding at that number and ate every seed and berry in sight. when they became smallish tallbirds they would sometimes attack me cuz they didnt get enough food and when became adults i sat there like an idiot as they all attacked me AT ONE TIME. I died instantly. I had no idea they would do that. *** em. rockninja Posted January 2, 2014 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Personally, I'd say lock the little bugger up in a cage and keep it in there (don't wander to far off or it might teleport to you).once it's grown up, kill it, use cheats to spawn in a tallbird nest, because the tallbirds you raise can't make one, and it is literally the only reason to bother raising one in the first place. DareToStarve Posted January 7, 2014 Share Posted January 7, 2014 Well, your issue with the fuzzball slipping through walls is that their probably too low. Put them to highest, or 2nd to highest tier of "wall height". Make sure theres no open slots. I agree with Misaki and others... Their adorable, but they betray you. their a challenge to raise, so if your on say day 800 and you're bored it's a little something to spice up the game. I don't really understand why your dragging that bird into the field of traps, anyway. Just stay clear, but when you NEED too, It's life or no smallbird life but it's moderately ok. Just remember all the times his Mommy murdered you, and how this fuzz with also grow up and will be a teenager then an adult, and like every mother/father has to deal with them leaving.. but they dont just leave.
