"Fantastic. Allow us to finish our meal, and we'll be off."

Clara nodded and turned around, stanging vigilant for any dangers as the group ate.

Oxryklne was still out cold.

[Blewcheese]

It wasn't long before they finished their meal, and Austin made sure to save some scraps for their beetley friend. "Now, are we ready to go?"

[MenaAthena]

Clara had gone into a sort of trance while staring out into space. She snapped out of it when J spoke. She glanced at him and nodded.

[Blewcheese]

"Good. Come along. " J walked forwards, and Austin, who was supporting Barry, and the child followed.

[MenaAthena]

(Blew, what are you going to do with Barry? DON'T YOU DARE KILL HIM OFF!)

 

Clara silently followed behind, her attention drifting to Barry, the one in a trance like state. The poor boy... what he must have seen to make him break. 

[Blewcheese]

(Yeesh. Calm down.)

Barry's fingers slowly ran across the strings of his guitar, his glazed eyes staring forward blindly.

[MenaAthena]

"Do any of you know what happened to him?"

Clara motioned to Barry.

[Blewcheese]

"He's not used to this place. He only knew a time where things were better. This world has traumatized him."

[MenaAthena]

"You mean he's from before all this happened? How is that possible?"

[Blewcheese]

"Hmm... Put simply, his soul was put in a limbo of torment and nothingness for a few thousand years. So, he slept through the apocolypse."

[MenaAthena]

Sleep is an odd word to use to describe being but in a limbo of torment for several thousand years. Clara kept walking silently. Even though her expression could not change, inside she felt sorrowful and sympathetic toward Barry. He had been though so much. No wonder why he's broken.

[Blewcheese]

"Hopefully he'll come back once we restore some of this world. We'll just have to see."

[MenaAthena]

Clara nodded.

"Why did you ask me if I was fire proof?"

Advantages

 

Holding Others Pangs

Being the person that she is, coupled with her ability, means that she is willing to hold the burdens and pains of other people. To put it more specifically, she can essentially absorb, in a sense, the pain of others, meaning that she can hold onto the wounds and poisons that other people are unfortunate to have, and "borrow", holding the setbacks for people; this process requires a calm atmosphere and focus, along with Selestewa and the victim holding hands. An example of this is if a person is badly burned or scarred on their leg. An extreme example of this is reviving someone from death, though this isn't something one would like to do. See 'Bearing The Pain'.

 

Sharing is Painful

When she holds the wounds of other people, she can essentially transfer the pain into other creatures, transferring the scars and wounds onto the creature, as long as she has both of her palms on the creature.

 

Setbacks

 

Bearing The Pain

By holding the wounds and pain that others endured, she has to suffer by living through the pain as the wounds are applied to herself, which can be fatal in the case of excessive wounds.

 

Weight Of Sin

The transference of wounds takes a heavy deal of purity on her part, and the resulting residue that is the byproduct of performing her "borrowing" is a sort of corruption, a dust that cripples and eats away at morality. Usually, this residue is deposited on Selestewa's hands, neck, and ankles in rings, but sometimes the victim also come away in possession of it.

 

Backstory: (I wish to reveal through interaction, as I usually do, but I will say that she was a maid in her former life.)

 

Appearance: (Let's try something new this time. Description when you guys intercept her.)

 

Personality: She's a cheerful, optimistic person, a loveable companion that is pure at heart. Of course, when she becomes corrupted, her personality can undergo changes; she becomes more edgy and odd, and she will sometimes shout out snippets of conversation that long ended.

Clara nodded. Realizing that it was kind of silly to continue carrying a strip of cloth around in her hand, she wrapped it around her chest, concealing the crack again.

"So, tell us about yourself." Austin looked at Clara, absentmindedly spinning a dagger about in his hand.

Clara hesitated.

"There's not much to tell. I got severely injured and now I'm stuck as a rock. That's it."

Her voice was even more emotionless than before; like she was forcefully trying to hide an overwhelming emotion. It was obvious she was leaving something out.

[Blewcheese]

"So your entire life consists of you getting wounded once?" Austin chuckled. "Don't be shy. We're all friends here."

[MenaAthena]

"I have nothing more to say."

Clara remained emotionless and unflinching.

"Well... How old are you?"
