(He'll reply eventually.)

"No." J spoke evenly, as if the lack of a plan didn't bother him in the slightest. The large worm reared up to attack, and the band of survivors positioned themselves to fight.

The child resumes his attempt to blast the worm, but it doesn't seem to have much affect. Meanwhile, J shies away from the large beast, wincing at the glow of it's lure. The Depths Worm continues swinging at Clara, but its attacks are fairly telegraphed and easy to dodge.

Clara's marble fist got lodged in the lure, and as the large bulb swung by, Clara swung with it. The worm seemed to be in pain, and flailed about, but Clara was stuck fast, and she was flailed about as well.

Meanwhile, Barry seemed to stir at the nearby bright light coming form the worm.

"CRAAAAaaa...aaaaAAAAAAAaaaa...aaaaAAAAAAAaaaa...aaAAAAAAAAAP!!!"

The swinging of the lure had an odd effect on Clara's shouting as she was brought closer and farther from the group. Unable to see anything this close to the blinding light of the lure, Clara tried desperately to claw her other hand into the bulb.

Clara was successful. Her other hand entered the bulb, and got stuck there too. The worm, now apparently severally injured, proceeded to dive headfirst into the ground, burrowing underneath and bringing Clara with her.

The worm slowed to a stop, and its breaths came in rasps. Meanwhile, the others looked down at the hole that the worm had created. "Well... We'd better go rescue him" Said J, as he climbed into the hole. The others followed behind.

(Him...

Him!

HIM!?!!!?!?!?!

*flips table*)

Clara stays compleatly still, pondering what to do at this point. Good thing she didn't need to breath, or that she didn't have physical eyes that would be damaged by this much exposure to the blinding light. The only reason she knew she was underground was because she felt the vibrations of digging and a piece of dirt or rock would come past her eyes every so often.

New friend? I assume you mean the moving statue.

Now having some of his energy back, Oxryklne stands and speaks up.

<Maybe we could... dig around it?>

Clara tries to free herself by slowly pulling one hand out, preparing to stop if the worm starts to move again.

"Alright. Hang on, everyone." The group grabbed onto the tail, and J summoned up some long ropes that fastened them to the tail. "Okay, get ready..." At that, a few of dark spear-like objects slithered up by the worm, moving towards the lure.
