A map so good I had to tell you guys about it.

I just unlocked Maxwell and started up his first map. It is now dusk on day three and this is what I have found thus far. I LOVE this map.

 

First off, The whole thing explored thus far.

 

 

This area shall be my lair. I'm going to let most of the marble pieces remain standing there in My biome. Then I'm going to make it my home. I even left a number of rocks still standing for aesthetics.

 

For local resources I have:

7 spider dens

9 beehives

11 frog ponds

A MacTusk camp

 

I'm going to whip the whole area into shape.

 

 

 

This is north of my lair. That buffalo herd is HUGE.

 

 

Right above my lair are two worm holes, labeled on the map with visual aids! non-contagious

 

The red worm hole leads to what  I believe to be the hub area of my map. More visual aids! *cough cough*

 

Worm hole number blue xD leads right into a swamp and to a cave.

 

 

This map is going to be amazingly fun. I refuse to live a day less than 500. Anything less would be a waste of a good map.

 

I'll post updates on how my adventure goes.

Day 4:

 

I summoned up three of my handsome friends to help me claim my home. The chess pieces didn't stand a chance. Threw down my fire pit, science machine, alchemy engine, and random crap. Then I garbed a hammer and headed up to the pig king area where I started huffing and puffing...with a hammer.

 

After getting back I placed three pig houses down next to the frog ponds. I have skins for 4 more. The farm was immediately bountiful with 6 legs and two meat being the haul.

 

Night has fallen. food's all cooked. Ready to show those spiders who their master is in the morning.

Oh thats pretty interesting, i've never beaten adventure mode because the only time i ever find maxwells door on the most inoprotune characters, e.g wilson, waverly (only useful if i can find the weeping willow, which im pretty sure doesnt spawn in adventure mode)

I still get plenty of squares and triangles. The island is also always awkward in proportion, stretching over a LOOOOONG area making travel tedious...not to mention the sharp bends and curves that separate another piece of land from you by 1 tile.

I don't get why people love frog ponds so much. I mean, frogs got a extremely long-ranged attack, so it means you can't kill them easily. They also attack in large groups. You can't finish because of damn frogs. WHAT TO DO? I am so proud of myself because the world I am currently playing at has no frog ponds :3

You can turn it into a farm by placing pig houses around it.

You can put traps and some of them will be caught while they roam.

You can use them as hound defense.

It won't even matter if the plants get burned up by fire hounds. At first I thought that was where the frogs/mozzies spawned from, but they always spawn regardless of the existence of those plants.

 

Frogs seem to aggro almost everything. Also good for getting treeguards/tallbirds off your back.

Don't those plants respawn? I remember that they were in different positions everytime I reloaded my game.

Yeah, they do..didn't mention that because I couldn't recall if they did. I just know the critters always come back. It's a myth that burning those plants will make those ponds safe then?

I spent all day at work day dreaming about what my lair is going to look like. I can't wait to show you what I got planned. L=

 

I am going to bring forth a severe change in the food chain. I, of course, will be on top. I shall dine on honey ham all day, everyday.

Maxwell is use to the life of a (not so) gentleman. What does every gentleman need in order to do his gentlemanly thing? servants of course. I shall whip the beasts around me into shape. They will preform the menial  work for me: killing spiders for my silk and monster meat, letting Mac Tusk know that he's on the wrong turf, making that sweet, sweet honey, honey.

 

They shall toil for me for I am the one that brought this world into being. I am their God, they will learn to fear me.

 

I'm going to start my grand efforts tonight. I'll post up what I accomplish in that time.
