That won't be good against shadows! His claws get covered with his own shadow and he slashes through the hands and jumped as high as he could to try and get John. Jack backs away slowly from Shard and Scars, scowling as the spear gravitates towards his hand. His wings shrink slightly. They swirl around the two, and they end up safely on the ground, and the spear reappears in John's hand.
