But maybe you're lucky and can find gold, make a science machine, then make silk clothing in time; or somehow  make a base with an alchemy engine and survive until winter

...and get the Tam.

 

And when playing un-upgraded WX on this  as the first adventure, death through hallucinations is very easy...assuming you're not constantly on the move avoiding death looking for the pieces because of...a certain raining plague creature before that.

Lots of flowers around. Shadows can be kited easily. Plague is food. Spiders abound to make silk hat.

Well, it has infinite durability. If it's just sitting in one of your chests when it starts to rain, there's really no point in not using it anyway.
