NeedPants Posted December 1, 2012 Share Posted December 1, 2012 Now ive asked this b4 and Kevin was kind enough to give me this answer: ...They do not currently respawn, but they will do so in the upcoming update...This was b4 the nov 27 patch. And now we are in this quoted "upcoming update". Anywho, i killed a few tentacles in small swamp patches close to my base. This was around day 40-50. I am currently at day 101 and none of the swamp patches has any tentacles. Was this change delayed or overlooked?Or does it simply take 100 days or more for the tentacles to respawn?Also do/will they respawn in the exact same spot? 501105 Posted December 1, 2012 Share Posted December 1, 2012 Well, I have tried it too and as far as I know they dont respawn (yet), or they do so at another location in the world. Marak Posted December 1, 2012 Share Posted December 1, 2012 Yeah, you sort of have to get lucky with your world generation of you want to get a ready supply of Tentacle Spikes and Spots. I myself got a HUGE swamp the size of an entire standard circular island on a bridge map, so I had more Tentacles than I new what to do with.However, if your swamps are small, you might be out of luck because (as was said) they don't currently seem to respawn. You can clear a swamp and make it Totally Safe™ aside from the occasional frog attack. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
