Charlie was reading the book. If she could get it under her command... This book was fascinating though. This Wickerbottom sure knew her stuff. KNEW was the keyword. Still, these were only theories. Charlie heard a whispering at the back of her mind. "Ahhhh~ Mr. Skits. What news do you have." Charlie thought, sending. The whispering continued. "Really? Unclaimed you say? Show me. Prepare the focus." Charlie searched through the things she kept in her garden till she found what she needed. The telelocator. The word from Mr. Skits and she cast the staff. Lightning struck the staff as she was teleported deep into the earth.(I love how we have not one, not two, but three people/creatures fighting against WILSON instead of earth.)

(Oh, boy. I can only guess what, or who, Shadowblade really is. My best guess now is Maxwell. I can't really think of any other characters I know that would fit the scene, but I'm probably wrong. I guess we'll see.)

Cronos stood where Wilson had been, lost in thought, and he mumbles to himself. "You saved me? Why wouldn't you try to kill me...?" He looks at the bird as it speaks. "Oh, you can talk. Interesting..." Cronos pauses for a moment to ponder who could that familiar voice belong to, when he finally responds. "I spend most of my time cooped up in that crown. When that idiot Newleaf decides to let me out, I always make the most of it, normally by fighting. It doesn't matter if it was only a projection, only that I was fighting. My time is nearly up, anyway."

(Since I see no need in waiting.)

Charlie warped into the ruins with a flash. "Ahh, such wonderful darkness." Charlie looked around. The place glowed with a reddish hue. A few meters away, she saw Mr. Skits. The whispering began again. "Yes. A warm welcome. Now show me." Charlie followed after the slithering serpent. They passed by a few ornate looking chests. The whispering was quick this time. "Got it. Pandora's box. Don't open it."

After escaping the twisting labyrinth, they arrived at a statue flanked by two glowing lights. Unlike normal light, it did not burn Charlie to stand in it. As she walked closer, she frowned. "A set of lights? This is what was so important?" Mr. Skits held up a finger. The lights blasted at maximum brightness yet Charlie didn't burn. She watched as hallucinations emerged from the lights. She stared at the statue, black liquid flowing out of it and onto the floor.

Charlie stuck out a hand and dunked it into the pool. As she suspected, nightmare fuel. "Wait a minute..." She stuck out a hand. She looked down. An entire body stared back at her. "Mis-mister skits?" The serpent hallucination gestured at a nearby pond. Charlie darted over to it, in complete shock as she heard the patter of bare feet against stone. She looked down into the pond's surface. A feminine, shadowy face was reflected in the pond.

(Wow! I am in awe at all the crazy stuff happening all over this world. Fantastic stuff, guys. Wilson, Shadowblade, and Newleaf Chronos are dueling it out IN THE SKY. Then Charlie... Did you just... Are you...human now? PHEW So much stuff going on, it’s awesome! Makes me pumped to draw this stuff, but alas, finals week.

@Cnaibdoge It all depends on where you want to enter. Since you're just now emerging, I'd suggest either meshing with an event already going on, or possibly wait for someone to approach you.

So far, the battle seemed to have just ended between Wilson and Chronos. Maybe Ware stumbles on these damaged warriors? As for Charlie, she seems to be in an inaccessible location at this moment (Ruins), but there’s a good chance for interaction here when she gets out. Or maybe she'll find you? It all depends on where you locate Ware. Aaron, Celeste (and her dog Onyx), and Warren the pigman are at a campfire, assumingly close-ish to the portal, introducing themselves / surviving.

Anyway, @Tesability , there is a good chance I'll be gone for about six days with minimal activity. For the RP, if I take too long to respond, just assume Aaron passed out into a deep sleep. He hasn't been resting well anyway, so it's not too obscure.)

(Shadowblade was never actually involved in the combat, folks. :/ It's been hanging to the side in order to keep its wings from getting clipped somehow from the fighting.

(I might just have Ware be running about, trying to find the "civilization" for a few posts)

Ware had been running about for most of the day by now. The only things he found were regular survival resources, as well as some sort of

staff, next to something. He'd been trying to recall what it was, but the only thing he thought of was "skeleton". That didn't sound good enough, so he just stopped guessing. The staff seemed pretty badly damaged, but it seemed to have a blue gem inside. He didn't really know how to use it, so he tested it by waving it at some birds. One of them froze solid, but Ware must've been waving it wrong at the other ones. He decided the most logical thing to do would to be to punch the bird, so it would unfreeze. He threw his fist as fast as he possibly could at the bird, and the ice cracked. The bird did the rest, digging itself out of the ice, and it flew away. Ware decided he would secure the area with his new-found staff thing. He walked around where the bird was frozen, and made a few tools. Or, at least, he think he did.

(I'm not going to lie, I'm glad I made Shadowblade now...even if a particular trait of it was unplanned...)

 

"Both you AND Percival need to keep a better handle on your counterparts," the bird quipped in annoyance toward Cronos before taking flight into the sky. It had better things to do than stick around with what it thought to be a nutter.

 

Instead of retreating toward Charlie's rather-lovely garden, it decided to take tabs on the realm, flying with a speed that would make most modern jets jealous. With its far-reaching vision did it scan the land, looking for anything of interest. With the silent-supersonic speed it was going, it found interest quick in a group, a few humans, a pig and...wait, it recognized that hand. Slowing its speed, the crow hybrid made a dive toward the group. Its indigo eyes sparked for a moment, its mind thinking of ways to use them to its advantage.

 

It landed just outside of the range of the campfire light, perched on a piece of fallen log that had been chopped down and not yet fully prepared for burning in time. Wilson did mention that some of these humans were also puppeteers in the form of 'players', which still piqued its interest. Bringing a wing to its blackened beak in thought, Shadowblade tried to think of what would be considered an recognizable phrase. Considering the current Puppet Master's retained reaction to one phrase in particular, a smirk appeared on one corner of its beak. It knew the perfect phrase to use.

 

"Say, Pals. You don't look so good..."

(Your Charlie could be considered an Alt-Universe Charlie...which she technically is from an alternate universe. XP I'm going to have to flag my own story as an Alt. Timeline tale after that bombshell of a puzzle as well...)

After what seemed like forever Whyte fell out of the portal.

"Ow.My head.I thought I was gonna die in there.That must've been at least two months," Whyte muttered glancing around at the new world he was in."This looks like my game, Don't Starve."

(I hadn't been on here in forever and just started going back on the forums so I made up with it by reading every single post and then making it seem like a long time in the wormhole.)

(To satisfy my muse. I have been thinking about this scene nonstop for three days.)

 

Charlie watched as the shadows receded like liquid and revealed her old human face. "Fascinating~" She got up to get a better look at herself. She looked like hell. Her hair, once prim and proper, was now a tangled mess filled with dirt and pine needles. The dress she had been wearing that night was now in tatters. She was bare foot which was a shame as she had really liked those shoes. She turned to Mr. Skits. "How long do those things remain open?" The whispering began. "A few hours. Not much time." Charlie grinned at the snake. "Show me the new recruits."

 

They had walked through mud covered fields of lightbulbs for what seemed like ages. "Mr. Skits, I do question why we must walk when we can warp." A brief answer came in the whispering. "Fine. We'll walk." They arrived at a small viewing ares, a stone table set aside. Flanking either edge of the viewing table were clockwork pieces, their forms corrupted by the fuel. "Oh~ My children." Charlie hugged the pieces. "Now then, let's get started."

Celeste stayed silent through all of this commotion. Thoughts dashed through her mind at lightning fast speeds. A talking pig on two legs her... dog, and now, there was a bird who could talk. She stayed there with her back against the tree, staring at the phoenix-crow. Onyx was silent, too, but that was only because the hound slept silently, and deeply enough to not wake up during all of this. Celeste sighed.

 

There's too much going on... and I know nothing.

"Hey, bird! Why would you leave so abruptly?" Cronos chases after where he saw the bird land, and finds that there is a group of people there. "Who are you? What are you all doing on my land?" He summons some treeguards, but they seem weak, as Cronos is loosing control of the host. Newleaf is fighting for the possession of his body.
